The Royal Burial Ground at Haga lies on a small island in the Haga Park in Solna, just outside of Stockholm. It was created in the early 1920's and the first member who was buried there was Crown Princess Margaretha whio had died in 1920. Since then several members of the swedish Royal Family have been buried there. Next Saturday (16-01.2013) Princess Lilian, the widow of Prince Bertil who has died yesterday will be buried there. The Burial Ground is open to the Public in May on Sunday and from June-August on Thurday. When i was in Stockholm in August 2010 i visited it also. Since then one more Grave has added. In May 2012 Count Carl Johan Bernadotte af Wisborg, the youngest son of King Gustaf VI. Adolf died and a new Grave was added for him between the Grave of his parents and his brother Prince Bertil. Aolf (1882-1973), Crown princess Margareta, née Princess of Great Britain (1882-1920) and Queen Louise, née Lady Mountbatten (1889-1965)     Grave of Prince Bertil, Duke of Halland (1912-1997)   Grave of Prince Carl, Duke of Västergötland (1861-1951) and his wife Princess Ingeborg, Duchess of Västergötland, née Princess of Denmark (1878-1958) Their son Prince Carl Bernadotte (1911-2003) was also buried in this grave in 2003   Grave of Count Sigvard Bernadotte af Wisborg (1907-2004) The gravestone has already the inscription of his third wife and widow Countess Marianne Bernadotte af Wisborg A bit to the side on a little hill there is the grave of the parents of the present King   Grave of Prince Gustaf Adolf, Duke of Västerbotten (1906-1947) and Princess Sibylla, Duchess of Västerbotten, née Princess of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (1908-1972) |
