The Royal Burial Ground at Haga

The Royal Burial Ground at Haga lies on a small island in the Haga Park in Solna, just outside of Stockholm. It was created in the early 1920's and the first member who was buried there was Crown Princess Margaretha whio had died in 1920. Since then several members of the swedish Royal Family have been buried there. Next Saturday (16-01.2013) Princess Lilian, the widow of Prince Bertil who has died yesterday will be buried there. The Burial Ground is open to the Public in May on Sunday and from June-August on Thurday. When i was in Stockholm in August 2010 i visited it also. Since then one more Grave has added. In May 2012 Count Carl Johan Bernadotte af Wisborg, the youngest son of King Gustaf VI. Adolf died and a new Grave was added for him between the Grave of his parents and his brother Prince Bertil.

Castle Church Stuttgart

 

The Castle Church in Stuttgart was build from 1558-1562 by Alberlin Tretsch and was the first protestant Church in Württemberg. It lies in one Wing of the Alte Schloß and the entrance is in the Couirt of Arcades of the Castle.  According to protestant unterstanding the Altar and the  puilbit should be seen from all places and where placed as equal objects of Art. They where designed by Sem Schlör. After the catholic  line had come to Power in Württemberg they room wasn't used as Church anymore. From 12810 it ws used first as Library and later as the Court Pharmacy. In 1865 the Church was renovated in the newgothic stlye according to plans of the Architect Alexander Tritchler. There was also a Vault errected which is below the Church. The Church was reopend on 26.11.1854. In this Vault are buried King Karl I. and Queen Olga, née Grrand Duchess of Russia, their adopted daughter Duchess Vera, née Grand Duchess of Russia and her husband Duke Wilhelm Eugen and their little son, Duke Karl Eugen. 

Today the Church is used as preaching place of the protesant Stiftschurch parish. She is often used for Weddings.

St. Augustiner Church at Coburg

The St. Augstiner Church in Coburg was build from 1855-1860 according Plans of Vicenz Fischer-Birnbaun. In honor of Prince August of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha wo had helped the project financiell it was inaugurated on the death anniversary of Augustinus von Hipp on 28.08.1860. Under the Church is a Crypt where the member of the catholic branch of the Ducal Family of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha the so called Kohary branch are buried.

When one comes into the Crypt under the Church there is first a little Chapel and then there are 2 Crypts. On the right is the so called Tsars Cryptand then there is another Crypt on the left side.

In the Tsars Crypt are the builder of the Crypt Prince August of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (1818-1881) and his wife Princess Clementine, née Princess of Orléans (1818-1907) buried. Also their youngest son King Ferdinand I. of the Bulgarians (1861-1948)is buried in this Crypt.
