A Move and A Game or Two or Three -- Sun., Dec. 23

After pancakes and fried eggs, we spiffed up Rigamarole to move to a different site in the same RV park. Scrubbing floors was my chore this morning, especially needed since we had been gone seven weeks.

Bob walked 1-1/2 hours, then came back and took care of outside moving chores. By 1:00 p.m. we had moved to another loop. We hooked up to everything and no electricity. Hm. Perplexed. Our electricity had worked a few minutes ago at our other site.

Off to the RV park office Bob went to report our lack of electricity. The park electrician came over on his day off to help us. The electrician tested our outlet and it worked. The people who had just vacated the site didn't have any problems with the electricity. They tested our very expensive outside surge protector and one of the wires on top is loose. So currently (pun intended), we are not using our surge protector. We will be taking it back to Camping World to see if they can exchange it.

We are all settled in our new space. From our back window we have a view down the whole RV park. We can see all the comings and goings. New people stop to sign in right behind our 5er. Lots of activity takes place in this park...people walk dogs, ride bikes, drive golf carts, and chat.

For dinner we went to Cracker Barrel for Lemon-Herb Grilled Trout. From there, were off to AT&T Arena to watch the San Antonio Spurs play the Dallas Mavericks.

If you remember, one of Bob's employees won season tickets to the Spurs and she generously gave us two sets of tickets so we can see two games this week. (We go again Wednesday night.) The seats are way up high, but we had a good view.

The Spurs dominated throughout the game. The Mavericks never once had the lead. (Oops, Bob informed me the Mavs led once at 4-3.)  It was fun to watch all the dunks, spin moves, 3-pointers and passes.

View from our seats.
Spurs have the ball.
Spurs making a move.
We left early in the fourth quarter when the Spurs were up by 40! That's a good way to get ahead of the traffic. The Spurs won by 38. Not even close for the Mavericks.

Now Bob is watching TV--the Seahawks against the 49ers.  He's happy because the Seahawks are way up.

But Bob is unhappy because the Portland Trailblazers are getting wiped out tonight. He keeps up with all his sports!

Tomorrow Bob works a half day. Bob, let me be the first to wish you Happy Birthday for the 24th. I'm still madly in love with you after 30 years. Let's shoot for 30+ more years. Our adventure is not complete.
